Each facet of

was designed to bring visitors a joyful experience behind every digital door that leads to each new section of the site.

We are grateful to have had the opportunity to partner with multi-disciplinary, independently owned design studio

to bring this vision to life. Leading the project was Pentagram’s sound and experiential design visionary

, who we previously collaborated with on the

back in 2016 for that year’s Moogfest.

With a passion for Moog synthesizers and the brand's legacy, Yuri was the perfect partner to celebrate the Model D's cultural impact. He and the hardworking teams at Pentagram and Counterpoint helped create an experience that allows visitors all over the world to discover the deep history and sound of the Moog world.

“Working on this web project for the past two years has been an incredible journey, as Moog has always been my top fascination. Their synthesizers' special sound and beautiful design hold a special place in my heart. I still vividly remember our first discussion years ago where we envisioned a web experience that celebrates the Minimoog Model D. Our goal was to craft a tightly interactive and fun experience that would capture the essence of Dr. Bob Moog and his team’s groundbreaking innovation.

Throughout the project, the collaboration has been tight-knit and extremely enjoyable. We have exchanged numerous ideas on how to make the introduction of this beautiful innovation both fun and captivating. I am grateful to everyone involved in this project for their hard work and dedication.

I invite you to visit the website and immerse yourself in the discovery of the Minimoog Model D—a true testament to the innovation and creativity of its creators.”

No matter how much’s been written about David Bowie’s Berlin period, there’s still a dark fascination with this legendary chapter in the singer’s career. Having decamped to the Grey City with an equally frail Iggy Pop to finish up the “Low” album, the duo set up shop in Hansa Studios – the now famous recording facility that sat less than 500 feet from a slab of the Berlin Wall.

Into these grim circumstances entered Brian Eno and the Minimoog that he had been using for quite some time on his solo albums. When it came time for them to work on an instrumental that would eventually be called “Warszawa,” Eno used the Model D to come up for its booming undertones.

“Within a few months you know pretty well what (the Minimoog’s) limits are, so you don't waste a lot of time trying to program novelties into it.” Eno told Keyboard magazine in 1981. “You know what the instrument can do, and you choose from among its possibilities. So this becomes a musical choice, not just a sound choice.”

Bowie was so enamored with “Warszawa” that he used it to open the shows on his 1978 world tour. “Low” initially divided fans and critics, but the atmospheres that Eno and Bowie carved out of that fairly strained period of his artistic life, are now seen as masterworks.

“(‘Low’) was a kind of experiment in seeing what kinds of emotions pop music could cope,” Eno would say later in a BBC documentary. “Could it deal with despair and hysteria and idiot glee as well as the things that pop had dealt with up until then. It was kind of important. It was a step that was going to make a difference.”
