Each facet of

was designed to bring visitors a joyful experience behind every digital door that leads to each new section of the site.

We are grateful to have had the opportunity to partner with multi-disciplinary, independently owned design studio

to bring this vision to life. Leading the project was Pentagram’s sound and experiential design visionary

, who we previously collaborated with on the

back in 2016 for that year’s Moogfest.

With a passion for Moog synthesizers and the brand's legacy, Yuri was the perfect partner to celebrate the Model D's cultural impact. He and the hardworking teams at Pentagram and Counterpoint helped create an experience that allows visitors all over the world to discover the deep history and sound of the Moog world.

“Working on this web project for the past two years has been an incredible journey, as Moog has always been my top fascination. Their synthesizers' special sound and beautiful design hold a special place in my heart. I still vividly remember our first discussion years ago where we envisioned a web experience that celebrates the Minimoog Model D. Our goal was to craft a tightly interactive and fun experience that would capture the essence of Dr. Bob Moog and his team’s groundbreaking innovation.

Throughout the project, the collaboration has been tight-knit and extremely enjoyable. We have exchanged numerous ideas on how to make the introduction of this beautiful innovation both fun and captivating. I am grateful to everyone involved in this project for their hard work and dedication.

I invite you to visit the website and immerse yourself in the discovery of the Minimoog Model D—a true testament to the innovation and creativity of its creators.”

How bad could it be? Sea breezes, temperatures that gently swing from 65-76F and a studio that’s less than four miles away from the beach. That’s what was on offer when Blue Weaver got the call to join the Brothers Gibb in Miami in January of 1975. The Bee Gees were coming off the disappointment of their “Mr. Natural” album and drummer Dennis Byron (who he’d worked with in the band Amen Corner…) was looking to help reinvigorate the band’s output.

“Dennis had starting working with the Bee Gees when they were using an orchestra.” Weaver remembers. “It was September or October of 1974, and he was saying, ‘Look, the Bee Gees aren’t doing much, and it would be great if we could get a rhythm section together and try and take them in another direction.’”

The material the Bee Gees began to work up with producer Arif Mardin would be far more soul infused than they’d attempted before. To those proceedings Weaver brought some extremely funky Minimoog parts – particularly on a track called “Nights On Broadway.”

“It was just a riff I had,” Blue remembers. After we’d done ‘Jive Talkin’,’ when we realized that we could use a synth that way, the Minimoog was sitting there, and Arif said, ‘Try some Moog on this.’ So we recorded the backing track for ‘Nights’ in the afternoon, and then they did the vocals at night.”

Released as the second single from the “Main Course” album, the song went Top 10 in the U.S. and signaled the start of a golden era in the Bee Gees career.
