Each facet of

was designed to bring visitors a joyful experience behind every digital door that leads to each new section of the site.

We are grateful to have had the opportunity to partner with multi-disciplinary, independently owned design studio

to bring this vision to life. Leading the project was Pentagram’s sound and experiential design visionary

, who we previously collaborated with on the

back in 2016 for that year’s Moogfest.

With a passion for Moog synthesizers and the brand's legacy, Yuri was the perfect partner to celebrate the Model D's cultural impact. He and the hardworking teams at Pentagram and Counterpoint helped create an experience that allows visitors all over the world to discover the deep history and sound of the Moog world.

“Working on this web project for the past two years has been an incredible journey, as Moog has always been my top fascination. Their synthesizers' special sound and beautiful design hold a special place in my heart. I still vividly remember our first discussion years ago where we envisioned a web experience that celebrates the Minimoog Model D. Our goal was to craft a tightly interactive and fun experience that would capture the essence of Dr. Bob Moog and his team’s groundbreaking innovation.

Throughout the project, the collaboration has been tight-knit and extremely enjoyable. We have exchanged numerous ideas on how to make the introduction of this beautiful innovation both fun and captivating. I am grateful to everyone involved in this project for their hard work and dedication.

I invite you to visit the website and immerse yourself in the discovery of the Minimoog Model D—a true testament to the innovation and creativity of its creators.”

Hungry is a word you could probably apply to The Wailers circa 1971. Stuck in London with no way to get back to Jamaica to record any more music, they approached Island Records main man Chris Blackwell for help. With no guarantee that’d he ever make good on his investment, he ponied up £4,000 to get the band home. But less than a year later Marley touched down in London again with what would become some of the greatest Reggae tracks ever recorded. But before they could be released, on the “Catch A Fire” album, Marley and Blackwell began to sweeten them. Enter John "Rabbit" Bundrick.

“My parts on ‘Catch A Fire’ are in no way near purist.” Bundrick recounted for the late 90’s Classic Album episode on the record. “They are an imitation of what Bob Marley taught me how to do.”

When Bundrick arrived in England from a Swedish tour with Johnny Nash, he encountered his first ever synthesizer – a Minimoog Model D.

“I didn’t really know how to work the Moog, but as my intuition grabbed hold of me and I just started moving all the controls and accidentally brought up this wonderful sound. Everybody in the studio yelled out…’That’s it! You nailed it Rab!’”

That same year Bob Marley and the Wailers performed “Stir It Up” on the Old Grey Whistle test – an influential U.K. pop show that featured Earl "Wire" Lindo playing Bundrick’s Minimoog parts. It was one of a handful of early keystone moments in getting listeners to embrace the new and unfamiliar Reggae sound.
