Each facet of

was designed to bring visitors a joyful experience behind every digital door that leads to each new section of the site.

We are grateful to have had the opportunity to partner with multi-disciplinary, independently owned design studio

to bring this vision to life. Leading the project was Pentagram’s sound and experiential design visionary

, who we previously collaborated with on the

back in 2016 for that year’s Moogfest.

With a passion for Moog synthesizers and the brand's legacy, Yuri was the perfect partner to celebrate the Model D's cultural impact. He and the hardworking teams at Pentagram and Counterpoint helped create an experience that allows visitors all over the world to discover the deep history and sound of the Moog world.

“Working on this web project for the past two years has been an incredible journey, as Moog has always been my top fascination. Their synthesizers' special sound and beautiful design hold a special place in my heart. I still vividly remember our first discussion years ago where we envisioned a web experience that celebrates the Minimoog Model D. Our goal was to craft a tightly interactive and fun experience that would capture the essence of Dr. Bob Moog and his team’s groundbreaking innovation.

Throughout the project, the collaboration has been tight-knit and extremely enjoyable. We have exchanged numerous ideas on how to make the introduction of this beautiful innovation both fun and captivating. I am grateful to everyone involved in this project for their hard work and dedication.

I invite you to visit the website and immerse yourself in the discovery of the Minimoog Model D—a true testament to the innovation and creativity of its creators.”

When she was maybe four or five, Lisa Bella Donna’s mother sat her down between two stereo speakers and played her Gary Wright’s “Dreamweaver.”

“That was a real defining moment when I first heard that. This would have been right around the time the album came out. That was always one of her favorite records. And she said, ‘This is what the future is going to sound like.’”

For Lisa, that turned out to be the case on more than one level. Growing up in a small town in Ohio she wound up being exposed to a fair amount of classic rock and heavy metal. But it was a double dose of Wendy Carlos that her step-father turned her on to that clarified her path a bit further.

“I wanted to be Ken Henslee from Uriah Heep when I was little. Or Nina Hagen…because there was a visual element to what they were doing as much as the music that they were making. But ‘Summer’…that was the piece for me. My step-Dad was explaining to me: ‘This isn’t a field recording. This is a synthesizer recreating all these natural environments. That was it.”

Eventually she got work in a local recording studio, doing backing tracks for local musicians. After she had become more or less a fixture there, she was given free reign to explore the space after hours. Snooping around the storeroom one day, she made a life changing discovery.

“There was a Minimoog and an Arp Odyssey sitting in the back and they had about an inch of dust sitting on top of both of them. And one time after a session I got done early…I cleaned them up, let them warm up and started playing. Everything changed after that.”

Lisa became a gigging/session musician, a composer, and a well-known clinician. During a four-day residency at the Electronic Music Education and Preservation Project (EMEAPP) she came up with a piece called “Mysterium” - recorded using gear harvested from The Rolling Stones Mobile Unit. It became the kick-off track from her 2020 album “Changin' Times,” which includes a soaring, tour de force Minimoog part that sets the tone for the dark John Carpenter-esque atmospheres captured across its four tracks.

“(The Minimoog) has is that lead line. Nothing’s sequence on that song. It’s all played. It’s the most liberating monophonic synthesizer. It coaxes something out of my player’s muse that nothing else does. There’s no other instrument that I feel that connected with in terms of phrasing, nuance and in terms of getting heavy. If you want to do pipe organ level, room crushing tones, the Minimoog will get that for you.”
